Thai Yoga Massage
Massage is a skill, an art, and a science. On a physical level it is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, muscles, tendons and ligaments. But it is so much more than this. On an emotional level, massage can touch you at your very core, helping you to experience deep feelings. On a spiritual level it gives you the experience of remembering who you really are, helping you to connect with your own body.
Each treatment is tailored to your personal needs. Richard uses a combination of ayurvedic, thai, restorative yoga postures and traditional swedish techniques to release toxins, tensions, and emotions trapped in the body. During each session his hands become more seeing than his eyes.
Shiatsu is therapeutic bodywork that uses stretches, joint mobilisation, acupressure and holding to bring the body into a state of deep relaxation, supporting and balancing vital lifeforce energy. Andy helps clients release tension and pain and brings about more flexibility, movement and space. Shiatsu can help a person go on to find more freedom and space in other aspects of their life and move them towards full health and their true nature. Shiatsu is more effective through clothing so please wear something loose and comfortable. If you prefer to be naked, a blanket will be used at appropiate points in the treatment.
Private Yoga sessions or Yoga Therapy
In addition to massage treatments we also provide 1:1 yoga sessions and meditation. Sometimes a class situation is not appropriate for all people and a 1:1 session gives the opportunity for you to work with a teacher specifically for your needs. This could be for a particular area of your body that you may have been experiencing problems or pain, or even for a particular yoga pose you just can’t seem to get the hang of!
Yoga and meditation has been proven useful for helping with:
- Chronic Fatigue
- High Blood pressure
- Immunity deficiency
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Coronary problems
- Eating disorders
- Panic attacks
- Coping with Cancer
If it’s not on the list, drop Andy an email, as there is always something to work with. Yoga and meditation is not a substitute for western medical science, but a growing body of research suggests that they may be effective either in reducing symptoms, improving functioning, coping, or improving quality of life.
Andy is available for private shiatsu, 1:1 yoga, or meditation on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and possibly other days too.
£65 per hour
£85 per 1.5 hour session
*Please note that this is not a sexual service
