Birthday suits and birthdays! Celebrating 10 years of naked yoga at Yoganu!

Hello beautiful men and welcome to our new blog. Here you’ll get to know a litte bit more about Yoganu and the amazing universe of Tantra and Yoga. We’re just at the beginning of this new year and it’s going to be a big one for us – believe it or not 2017 is the tenth anniversary of Yoganu!

Yes you read that right it’s a whole ten years since this nurturing community of men practicing naked yoga was created by our founding members the beautiful Mark and Richard, and they barely look a month older than when they started!

What a decade it has been, so many beautiful men, so many beautiful moments. In this time the Yoganu we taught almost 1,000 naked yoga classes, 50 workshops, and 15 retreats, not to mention the countless 1-1 lessons.

We’ve also grown as a team, from Mark and Richard, then expanding to include myself and Andy in more recent years. Richard’s teaching has particularly blossomed, he is now an accredited Senior Yoga Teacher and this year will be running his first course training new Yoga teachers. Yoganu has been key to my own journey, taking me from beginner 7.5 years ago to fully qualified yoga teacher today, transforming my life in the process, inspired and supported by Mark and Richard all the way. That’s not to forget many of the other teachers who’ve been inspired and nourished by Yoganu on their journeys including the lovely David in Montreal, and Rhys and Stefan in London to name but a few.

More important than the numbers of classes, workshops and retreats, is all the beautiful experiences that have taken place there. In my own journey with Yoganu I have experienced countless incredible moments and shared utterly beautiful connections of all kinds. So much pleasure and joy it’s difficult to put into words. When I think of so many of the wonderful men I have met in our naked yoga events over the years it fills my heart to bursting! It has been a real privilege to share part of my journey with each and everyone of them as we have explored the connections between our spirituality and sexuality together.

So we start this New Year with a sense of immmense gratitiude, for all the amazing teachers and students who have made Yoganu the very special community it is.

We’re looking forward to lots of exciting classes, workshops and retreats in 2017, and we invite you on the journey with us!

In deep gratitude.

Namaste

Andrew
